STRAP-RETAINER AND LOAD RETAINING SYSTEM USING SAME

A cargo retainer system incorporates a load-bearing strap assembly having a load bearing strap that extends over a cargo element, and a strap-retainer clamped to the load bearing strap and having an elastic portion that is stretched to a stretched length and attached to a portion of the load-bearing strap. The strap-retainer has an elastic portion that extends from the clamp to a hook that is configured to attach to a portion of the load-bearing strap to secure the strap retainer under tension. The strap-retainer provides an elastic retaining force on the load-bearing strap wherein the force exerted on the load bearing strap increase when the cargo shift away from strap-retainer and the force decreases when the cargo shifts toward the strap-retainer. A cargo retainer system may incorporate a strap-retainer on either side of the cargo element to provide complimentary and corrective elastic retaining forces on the load-bearing strap.

A rupture element may be configured with a frangible reservoir or dispensing device to rupture or open the frangible reservoir.

The portable spotting device has a central tower having a vertical support, a powered lifting device and an actuator portion. A powered lifting device, such as an electric motor, may be coupled to the vertical support and drive a cable spool, whereby a cable is attached to the actuator portion. The electric motor, configured as a wench may move the actuator portion up and down along the vertical support. A horizontal extension attached to the actuator has a pair of adjustable arms the extend forward to retain and lift a weight, such as a weight bar. An actuator pedal allows a weight lifter to control the height of the adjustable arms while lying on a bench.

The warning light detector includes a camera that takes digital images of a field of view in front of the automobile, and a detection program to detect any warning lights analyzes these digital images. A control system of the detector activates an alert feature, such as a sound and/or light, to alert the motorist of a warning light when one has been detected by the detection program. An alert feature may be a sound emitted from a speaker or light that flashes and the alert feature may be configured on the detector or be transmitted through the automobile’s stereo, warning, or navigational system, for example. A detector may be a mobile device, such as a mobile phone and a warning light detector application program may be downloaded to the mobile device.

A neutron beam regulator has a magnetic coil configured around a neutron beam between the neutron beam source and a target. The magnetic coil may be used to contain the neutron beam and reduce the scattering of neutron. Neutrons have a magnetic moment and can be affected by exposure to magnetics fields. The magnetic coil may be used to modulate the neutron beam shape, intensity, velocity, direction and polarization. A magnetic coil may extend substantially the entire distance between a neutron beam source and a target. A magnetic coil may be a discrete magnetic coil having a separate power input and output from other magnetic coils and a plurality of discrete magnetic coils may be configured around the neutron beam. A magnetic coil may be a spiral magnetic coil and may be continuous, or extends substantially from the neutron beam source to the target.

POWERED ENTRANCE BARRIER ALARM DEVICE AND SYSTEM USING SAME

A powered entrance barrier door alarm device and system is configured to alert someone of an unauthorized breach of a powered entrance barrier, such as a garage door, whereby the powered entrance barrier is opened without the use of the powered entrance barrier opener. The detector circuit measures an electrical power parameter to a powered entrance barrier opener. DETACHABLE ARTICLE WARMER

An article warmer that is detachable to and from a faucet head and utilizes diverted water is provided. In one embodiment, the article warmer comprises a warming enclosure and a heat transfer portion that conducts heat from the diverted water to the article to be heated. The heat transfer portion may be incorporated into the wall of the enclosure or may partially disconnect from the enclosure, allowing the user to wrap articles to be warmed around the heat transfer portion. In another embodiment, the heat transfer portion is configured to form the warming enclosure. Insulating, temperature indicating, and water resistant materials may be used in the construction of the article warmer.

An electrical machine includes a rotor with a rotational axis, a coil arranged circumferentially with respect to and fully encircling the rotational axis, and a stator assembly. The stator assembly includes first and second lamination stacks comprising associated pluralities of laminae, the stacks being arranged circumferentially with respect to the rotational axis on opposing sides of the coil for conducting magnetic flux. The stacks are configured with gaps generally radially through the laminae thereof, defining separate circumferential segments in each laminae, to prevent creating a continuous electrical circuit around the rotational axis in the segments. Each laminae has a connecting ring spaced radially from the segments, and beams connecting the segments to the ring as a unitary piece. Back return elements extend axially between the stacks to provide a flux path therebetween, and are positioned circumferentially between adjacent parts of the beams and radially between the segments and the ring.

A solar module riser assembly that is configured to allow a solar module attached thereto to fall-to-flat when not being forced into an angular position is provided. A riser assembly includes a riser support and a tube support attached to the riser support. A torque tube may extend across a plurality of riser assemblies and be retained by tube supports attached to each of the riser assemblies. A torque tube support is configured to rotate about the riser support and thereby position a solar module coupled thereto at an optimum angular orientation for solar exposure and track the sun. A first riser and second riser may be configured on opposing sides of a central drive device and lever arms attached to link bars drive tube supports when the link bar is moved. The first and second riser may be configured to create equal and opposite force on the link bar.
